Truffle Week - Day Two

Have you ever read a book that made you want to stand-up and dance around the sofa doing the happy dance? All the while yelling, Yes Yes Yes!! If you haven't, well then this is the book for you. If you have, here's another one that you need to read.

"Truffles" is the story of Gaby, who we first met in "Chocolate Beach." This time we follow her through a really rough patch in her life. Her living arrangements change, her business is rocky, her love-life is complicated...it's just one thing after another. But through it all, Gaby is trying to stay positive and find herself in the changing world.

I had the absolute best time reading "Truffles By The Sea." I was so sad to see it come to a close. I hope that Julie's planning another book in this series. Maybe the story of Livi??? (Oh Julie - Are you reading this??)

And congrats to yesterday's winner - Leslie!! You are now in the running for a copy of "Truffles By The Sea."

To enter for today's Truffles...What was an event in your life that you consider life changing? (Mine would be a move to Texas.)

Adopting my son. I went from infertile and skinny to a mom in o.2 seconds.

hmm. maybe starting my job. It really changed the way I view education and even my spiritual life.

I was hoping we'd get Livi's story, too!

For me, I would have to say the birth of my second son. My cousin was right...you're not a parent until you've had two! Oh, the joys!!

My divorce. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through but really changed me as a person. It made me much more independent but at the same time I learned to rely on God for strength.

I would say that becoming a mom changed my life the most. I guess that's an expected answer, but it is true!

Mine was leaving for a "short" vacation right after graduation to Texas and finding the love of my life and marrying him four months later!! :)

Sounds like a good book series! And yes I have read books that I wanted to get up dance when I finished! ;)

For me it would be almost 2 years ago....when Mr. "S" and I met! We went to school togther..I was his 6th grade girlfriend...if you want to call it that!!! =) We road the same school bus and talked on the phone non-stop...well, that is where it ended...he would move back and forth between Texas (where his dad lived) and Ohio (where his mom lived)!! Well, until Aug 2006...we met back up thanks to myspace he was back in Texas for about 3 years! We had both been married and divorced and just in between...we started hanging out as friends and found ourselves together each and every weekend and here we are today!!! =) That is where I see my life changing...and for the better!!! =)

Deciding to and getting a guide dog was definitely a life changing experience. But one that was less obvious at the time could be the purchase of my first digital camera - I had no idea how much that would change my life. :-)

Having kids definitely changes your life! And I'll also say that losing one was bigger for me I think.

My divorce - without a doubt. I really had a hard time with it and struggled with depression afterwards. Now, I am the happiest I have ever been and I learned a lot from the journey. I didn't realize my strength before.

Having Classic Rock Baby was definitely life changing, not only because of the new addition to our family, but this helped restore my faith that had been shaken to the ground after my previous loss.

Yay on winning yesterday! That makes my week!

The first thing that jumps to mind for me is my autoimmune disease, which I have struggling with for five years. Chronic illness is very life changing, but it doesn't have to be devastating. In fact, it has made my life much richer in countless ways.
